Alsace

Hi friends!

I went to Alsace not long ago and I saw all my cousins! I went to "la montagne des singes" mountain of monkeys and I saw loads of monkeys that looked like Sisi! Visitors get some popcorn, then they hold  out the popcorn and the monkeys would grab it! One day I think that monkeys are going to evolve into humans. I also went watching wild animals with my uncle who is a game keeper.
We saw:

  • Nine deers
  • Six rabbits
  • Two hares
  • Two dogs
  • One cat
( The cat and the dog aren't important )

I went to Europa Park.
Don't worry if you don't know what it means its German ( Ask Luis if you want to know what it means ).
We did so many attractions. My favourite was probably the wodan and euorosat  ( That's German too, just ask Luis what it means ).

I had a massive party with my uncles and aunties and cousins and we celebrated my birthday there!
If you didn't know my birthday is on the twelfth of August.
I also went to la volerie des aigles. There were eagles flying all over the place and one of them flew just   above my head! We also went to le Chateau d'Andlau and another one in Barr.

Well that's all I've got for today. Bye!

Cheeky and Zebedy

Cheeky and Zebedy
When I got home Cheeky was very excited. I thought it might be good to first introduce him to Zebedy the Zebra because he comes from the same factory and they’re the same size. As Cheeky is a monkey I decided they should have some sort of
“bouncy fun place.”It worked really well because
when I pulled it it would bounce up because of the
elastic bands. Then, I thought that they might get lost in my bed so I both made them a mini-bedroom.
First,I noticed that Cheeky’s bed-room was too small so, I made one a bit like Zebedy’s. I wonder what I’m going to do next….

Alpacalypse!

There was a noise of running hooves as alpacas started crowding towards the King's palace. Everyone was chattering excitedly as they bustled towards the construction. There were news about the King summoning an alpaca. The heroic type of course. There had been a lot of kidnappings in Alpaconti lately, the supercontinent that they lived on. There has hardly been any in the last few thousand centuries. So, every one of the alpacas were talking about it. The palace was a huge structure nearly entirely made out of quartz blocks. A summoning was a special occasion because it had only happened twice. Then, everyone fell silent as the King suddenly came out of the palace and onto the balcony. He looked at the alpacas below.

ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡ
ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡ
ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʢ• ͡•ʡ

"I am ready for the Summoning to begin," he said.

A butler walked up to him and gave him an enchanted sword named Ashrune. Then, he stabbed the sword in to the ground. Next, he muttered some ancient spells and after a few minutes, a blinding light flashed into the sky and the alpacas gasped. Something was falling from the sky! Everyone started panicking.

"Do not worry, citizens!" he shouted. "I will use a spell to stop it from getting hurt."

And that was what he did. The falling thing was now falling much slower than before so it was like it was floationg to the King's balcony.

The 'thing' was in fact, a little male alpaca with a headband that read 'Satoshi'. He was still asleep and didn't seem to notice that he, before, was falling from about 500 metres. While he was sleeping, he looked more like a small sheep than an alpaca.

(´〜`*) zzzZZZZZZZZZZZ

'He looks rather cute, to be honest.' thought the King. 'He also looks like Shoop Sheep the Cotton Ball'.

He sent for his butler to drag the sleeping Satoshi into a spare guest room.

4 hours later...

Satoshi suddenly woke up. He had woken up from a strange dream of alpacas. There was a king alpaca and it stuck a sword and then he started falling out of the sky. It was the weirdest dream he had in years! Yet while he was awake, he could still see them! Was he going CRAZY??? No he couldn't be...
Then the truth suddenly dawned to Satoshi... he had become an alpaca.....

"AAAAHHHH!!!"

Alpacas

An alpaca is a tamed species of South American camelid (even toed types of animals like the camel). They live in places like southern Peru, northern Bolivia, Ecuador and northern Chile. An alpaca mainly resembles a small llama.  There are two breeds of alpacas, Suri and the Huacaya. Surian alpacas look more like llamas while the Huacayan alpacas are more like sheep (fluffy). Most alpacas do not like being grabbed. Some alpacas tolerate being stroked or petted anywhere on their bodies, although many do not like their feet, lower legs, and especially their abdomen touched or handled. Alpacas make a variety of sounds. When they are in danger, they make a high-pitched, shrieking whine. Some breeds are known to make a "wark" noise when excited. Strange dogs – and even cats – can trigger this reaction. To signal friendly or submissive behavior, alpacas "cluck," or "click". Individuals vary, but most alpacas generally make a humming sound. Hums are often comfort noises, letting the other alpacas know they are present and content. The humming can take on many inflections and meanings. When males fight, they scream a warbling, bird-like cry, presumably intended to terrify the opponent. Alpacas require much less food than most animals of their size. They generally eat hay or grasses, but can eat some other plants (e.g. some leaves), and will normally try to chew on almost anything (e.g. empty bottle).
Alpacas are not widely known in France, but they are very popular in Japan. Right now, there is a trend in Japan called "Alpacasso" or "Alpakasso" depending on the brand. They are adorable but they cost a lot of money, though in eBay, they sell it at a cheaper price. Most people also like drawing alpacas, but they usually don't follow biological appearances. Here is an example:

Cubes to squares puzzle

Here's a little puzzle we tried in 4G. We made three cubes with Cuisenaire rods: a 1 x 1 x 1 cube, a 2 x 2 x 2 cube and a 3 x 3 x 3 cube.
Then, once we'd made them, we made a square with all the Cuisenaire rods that we'd used to make the cubes.

Here are some pictures:
the cubes

Then we made a 4 x 4 x 4 cube. After that, we added the fours we'd used into the square:

Then, some of us tried with five:
 Here's all the pictures:

Bracelet and origami!

All middle playtimes we are doing  bracelets and origami!
If you want to learn or do some you can join us in the play ground out side the library.
If you do some bracelets and if you would like to give them to us, it would be really helpful to save the elephants.

Museum De Toulouse

On Friday we went to the museum of Toulouse. In the museum there was a big elephant near the entrance we sketched the elephant the elephant was as big as a hotel, then we went to the gems one of my favourite gem was the hélototrop it was as hard as a mountain rock. And my other favourite one was called calcite it was as sharp as a sharks tooth. Later we went to the skeleton area, were all the skeleton are, we had to sketch the animal one of my animal I gest was a Axis it look like a deer but it was a Axis. Next we went to the animal place were all the animal are one of my favourite animal that I sketch was a rhino the rhino horn was a long as a monkeys tale after that we went back to school.

About the fabulous Museum

About the fabulous muséum!
It was the natural history museum in Toulouse.
When we finally came I began to get VERY excited.
I was in a group with Penelope.
First, I drew the elephant. It was quite hard. After that we went to the dark room with diamonds …
I wrote a haiku about my favourite diamonds:

It reminds me of
A hedgehog in its shell but…
They do not have one!
It was REALLY dark there.

Although I we didn’t stay there long, we had to go.
We walked into a room where we watched a video about the world moving, it was interesting.
Later, we come to the bit that I was was excited about.
It was the bones, I drew one. I thought it was a mini dino but it was a hedgehog!!!

Our Wonderful Natural History Trip!

On Friday we started our trip on the bus and went to the Museum. In the entrance, there was a VAST elephant we had to sketch. And by the way I was in the group with Rozenn’s mum. We were:
Pablo (me) Fernando, Elie and Maria. In the sketch the elephant bit, we all had to sketch in different corners. First of all I sketched the back bit, but I thought it was hard and a bit disgusting. LLLL
So I decided to do the front part. I found that the elephant was named by… GORGES CUVIER!
After a while past the elephant we entered the Minerals and Gems room. We had to choose one and write a similie or a haiku. I wrote a haiku about my mineral:

Bronze and obscure gold,
Freezing grass and trees with wind,
Storm is coming soon.

We also took pictures and videos…
When we’d finished, we sauntered to a room about the continents. There we watched a video of how the continents travelled around the world.
Meanwhile we went to the skeleton zone where we had to sketch an animal skeleton. My group's animal was called: The Monk Fish (Lophius Piscatorius)
At that time, we entered the animals room. We sketched one. I don’t know what the animal was called, but it looked like a half Pig half Hippo. We went upstairs to sketch some patterns of around the world. I sketched a blanket from Congo.
Next was the polar bear room. I touched some real Polar Bear skin!
Later we had lunch in the Jardin des Plantes.
Soon our wonderful trip was over!

Our trip to Toulouse

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

On Friday we went to the museum of Toulouse (Natural History Museum). I was with Rozenn’s mother and in my group it was: Pablo, Maria, Eli and me.

First of all we went to sketch the elephant. It was difficult to do it. But then after a while it was so good and I was pleased with my work.

Later, we went to see the minerals and gems. They were so beautiful. This is my video I hope you will like it.

Also, I have done a haiku of that mineral:

What a brilliant diamond,

With a shiny purple colour,

What an awesome diamond.

My favourite mineral it was the Fluorite Violet.

After a while we went to the next room that is called the continents. There we watched an awesome video of how the continents move. India was very, very fast that’s why in Tibet there is the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.
Soon after that we went to the next room. It was the skeletons. First of all, we found an unusual skeleton and then we sketched it. Later we went to the room of animals, after a while they told us to sketch an animal they were so beautiful. I sketch a lemur it was so little. At final we went to see the polar bears, it was an awesome videogame and some people play that game. Then we went to eat and after we went to the park.
