Canary Islands Picture Wins the NASA Photography Contest

For the second year, a picture of the Canary Islands has won the photography contest NASA in Internet voting.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge  (Prince William and Princess Kate)

have carried Prince George off the plane at the start of their three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia.

It is the first official tour for eight-month-old Prince George. The tour ends in Canberra on 25 April.

Two British women die in Tenerife after being swept into the sea

Two British women have died on the Spanish island of Tenerife after apparently being dragged into the sea by a wave.

And to finish, here is a video of the search for missing Malasia Airlines plane. They have been diving into the sea.

Ice hockey match

On Saturday 1 February me and Abi went to  an ice hockey match and the teams were:
Toulouse Blagnac and La Roche.

And we saw a Zamboni which is a machine  to make the ice smooth.

And the first score went to our team Toulouse Blagnac and at the end the score was:
Toulouse... had 4 points and La Roche had 2 points.So our team won!

And this is me and Abi.

Breaking News!

The biggest avalanche that has occurred in modern history happened in Salt Lake City, USA.  Luckily nobody was hurt, but an entire copper mine had to be shut down because of the avalanche.  Avalanches are mainly snow, but this one was rocks and dirt!  Here is a video about it:

There are lots of elephants that disappear just for their tusks.

Elephants are so cute: they are really helpful.

There are just 40 000 elephants left: we really need to help!

You can find elephants in Asia and Africa.

Each year, 12,000 elephants are killed.

Science has finally done it! You could now print food out with a 3D printer! And it is no joke! For example, if you want a hamburger, you could just print it out and eat it. 

Alarming!

Today I went to the river and when I saw the river I was a bit scared because it has rained a lot  and it's under orange alert. Some of the houses were very wet and the fishing lake that's behind my house was destroyed. The river was going very fast and the road was hidden under the water. Here is a  photo and a video.

Lions are facing extinction in West Africa.

Scientists are very worried because there are only 400 left in the area, and it will take them at least six years to get them back.They are probably dying out because of hunting.I hope all the animals don’t die out. It’s very sad if they do.

The news comes from Niagara.


The Niagara Falls froze! An incredible thing happened there.
People go to see it lots of days because they are amazed.
Like this family that comes from Canada that go to Niagara in their summer holidays, but because they said it on the TV they decided to go to Niagara to see that spectacular show.

Here is a video.

The Niagara falls froze because of a Polar Vortex that made the lake freeze. Lots of tourists from America or other countries came to see this wonderful Winter Wonderland!

If all the water goes down the hole no more
boats will float! And no
more water.

Terrifying train crash in Dakota
With a giant explosion like a rocket going out to space!
Thousands of people had to be evacuated.
They destroyed lots of plants and stuff like that.

The explosion was so BIG!
