What's the sign?

In Maths today 4B have played a four-in-a-row game.

Our spinner

We used a spinner to determine the function.  Then we had to find a number sentence that needed it.

Here are some pictures of us playing the game.

My fantastic Sunday!

Today I went to the le chateau d'eau and its an old water mill, but now its a photography museum. it was really cool this is what it looks like:

The Le Chateau d'eau.

There was a tap there as well and it was really pretty!:
The well has lots of pretty tiles!

Then we went to the Augustn's and it has loads of statues! There was a exhibition on
and there was lots of stone things but I don't know really what they are! Here is my favourite:
My favourite one.
Me outside the Museum!
But something was strange...... the floor was different! The floor was like plastic
tiles, not stone! Weird!

Different floor!????????

The Museum outside!

When we got back in the car I got really excited! We were going to make cupcakes! Yay! Whopee!
Oh yeah! Oh yeah! I love the cupcakes me and my mum makes because they are lemon!
They weren't as nice as when the icing was on! Me and mum agreed on that one! This is what they looked like after!
Can you spot the Marsh mellow?   Oh yes I forgot to tell you but this painting here took TWENTY-FIVE YEARS to paint!(Sos about the caps!)
25 years! Unbelievable!

Yum! Yum!

IST rules!
Well that's what I think what about you?

Animals!

Not just elephants need helping, all animals do...... ok you maybe thinking that I don't care about elephants, but I do I care for every animal! (Even if its ugly!) For example you kill a fly, and you say "oh well it doesn't matter!".....well think if you were that little fly, would you like it? Nothing alive should be chopped down or killed! If some one chops down a tree the damage that happens to the world is incredible:
1. The world isn't as pretty.
2. Trees breath out oxygen like other plants and breath in carbon dioxide.
3. The most important thing is that trees are actually alive! Yeah, you're maybe saying, but they don't talk or walk! But they are still interesting!
4. Trees and plants are important to us because we need oxygen, and we are important to trees and plants because we breath out carbon dioxide!

You see? How are we meant to survive? Ok back on to animals they are also helpful to us. Bees, without them we wouldn't have fruit, honey, and flowers they are actually special to us! Please help me stop this and raise money for all animals! Give me suggestions. Thank you!
Animal cruelty!

This is terrible! We can't have this can we?

Number Balances

We've been working with our new number balances in Year 4.

The two sides of the balance have to balance.

We created lots of balanced numbers. Like this:

You'll notice there's more than one weight on some numbers!

We also did the same thing with an online version from nrich:

We made lots of them!

And a whole lot more!

The challenge, though, is to work out where the weights were the next day!

We're writing them as equations:

We had a look at this game, Weigh It Up, which starts out easy and gets harder too:

Swiss Chocolate Tasting

Today 12th of May, I brought in swiss chocolate for the class.
We were going to do a degustation. We called in one group at a time to taste the chocolate.

Some of my friends never tried swiss chocolate, so here was their opportunity.
There were 4 kinds of chocolate bars. Here are the kinds of chocolates:

Milk, Black, Milk with almonds & honey, and finally Milk & Almonds.
They loved tasting!

I used a whiteboard to do a tally chart of there favourite chocolate.
You could choose 1 or 2 votes.

At the end the winning chocolate was honey!
Here are the results of 4G
Then I went to 4B and they loved the tasting too, but the winning chocolate was still honey!

I hope you enjoyed the Swiss Chocolate Degustation!

My visit in the Museum of Dalí

Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalí I Domènech was born 11. Mai 1904 and died 23. January 1989 he is a famous artist.

He built his own Theatre Museum in 19 century in Figueres his hometown.

                                                         (the Theatre Museum of Dalí)

In the museum you can see the most of his artwork, painting, sculptures, jewelry and lots more!

Here are some of my favorite arts!

On the left side can you see some sculptures... When you go up the stairs you watch through a lens and then you see a face of a woman. (right side)

This is my favorite painting!
At the beginning I saw just color, but when I walked a bit away, I saw a dinosaur skeleton.
It was AMAZING!

Here are some jewelry:
